2006 Corvette Z06 Makes 27.22 More Horsepower With K&N Air Intake System 63-3060!
The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 that served as the Daytona 500 pace car is mechanically identical to those available at dealerships. It is also the fastest vehicle ever offered by Chevrolet and General Motors. Drivers can go from 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds with its 7.0 liter all aluminum racing inspired 505 horsepower engine. The Corvette’s top speed is 198 mph.
K&N Engineering, Inc. developed a 63 Series Air Charger Intake System (63-3060) for the 2006 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 7.0 liter V8 engine.
K&N dynamometer tests show a horsepower gain of 27.22 horsepower @ 5600 RPM on this super car. A Z06 is the closest experience many will have to the experience of sitting in a race car. The 63-3060’s aerodynamically engineered tube allows for more air to flow into the engine.
“The design of the K&N Air Charger Intake System had to meet and exceed the demands of a motor that makes 500 horsepower,” said K&N Performance Kit Manager Bert Heck. “In order to do this the K&N Air Filter included in this intake system is made from carbon fiber and very large. We also put an air foil in the large intake tube to provide extra strength and to help streamline the incoming air once it passes through the K&N Air Filter. Our K&N Air Intake System provides less restriction which results in more power.”
It takes less than 90 minutes to install most K&N Air Intake Systems with common tools.

More Street Performance With MSD’S 8247 Multi-Spark Coils For GM Gen-III LS2/LS7 Engines
Many said it couldn’t be done, but MSD has done it! At last, a high-performance, multi-spark replacement coil for the remarkable GM Gen-III small block!The advanced electronic controls of the Gen-III engine presented MSD engineers with a formidable challenge, as the control drivers are built into the OE coils. MSD was able to design an advanced circuit that operates with the factory electronics of the Gen-III engine while producing a higher output spark. Not only do you get a higher voltage spark, but the coil will deliver multiple sparks! Yes, that’s right: multiple spark discharge coils!
This version of MSD’s multi-spark coil was designed for GM’s LS2 variant and will provide more spark than the stock components. FLOWMASTER introduces a bolt-on American Thunder® System 17435 For Chevy/GMC Trucks
Flowmaster has introduced a bolt-on American Thunder® system for the 1999-2006 Chevy/GMC half-ton trucks with the 119-inch wheelbase. This redesigned kit will supersede earlier Force II® systems offered by the company. Its new design offers the option of side or rear exit in one package, and the tailpipes have been updated for a better fit on 2006 trucks. Engineers at Flowmaster have redesigned the left-side tailpipe as a two-piece unit so it will clear the brake line bracket on top of the rear-end housing. Two embossed rolled edge 3.00-inch stainless tips are also included.
