MSD 6012 6LS-2 Ignition ControllerPutting a carburetor on a GM Gen-III V-8 is a great option for those wanting the advantages of the aluminum small block without the headaches of wiring a modern EFI system. The MSD 6LS-2 Controller allows you to map a timing advance curve with MSD’s easy-to-use Pro-Data+ software. Other programmable features include a two-step rev limiter, a vacuum advance curve for cruising economy and even a step retard in case you want to add a little nitrous to the mix.

The MSD 6LS-2 is designed specifically for the LS2 and its 58-tooth wheel, which can be easily recognized by its gray harness connector. This compact ignition controller is fit with matching factory connectors for a direct installation. Only a handful of connections are required; the coils, crank sensor, MAP sensor and the cam sensor. You’ll have your “carbed” LS2 running in no time!

Buick V8s can step up to the proven performance of Edelbrock’s new Performer RPM Buick aluminum cylinder heads. In dyno tests, these high quality heads made 480 horsepower and 540 ft/lbs. of torque from an .030-overbore 455 engine with an Edelbrock intake manifold, Crane hydraulic lifter cam and 1-3/4″ headers. They are available fully assembled and ready to bolt on with high quality stainless steel 2.125″ intake and 1.75″ exhaust valves.

The 215cc intake ports are CNC gasket matched for outstanding flow characteristics and 68cc combustion chambers produce 9.2:1 compression ratio with stock pistons. They are cast from durable A356-T6 aluminum and CNC machined in Edelbrock’s modern manufacturing facility in Torrance, California. Like all Edelbrock heads, the rocker stud and exhaust bolt holes are Heli-Coiled™ for strength.

Performer RPM Buick cylinder heads are designed to accept widely available small-block Chevy adjustable rockers for an easy valvetrain upgrade, as well as high flow 130cc exhaust ports in the stock location accept original exhaust manifolds or headers for bolt-on performance.

At last, a high-performance, multi-spark replacement coil for the remarkable GM Gen-III small block!The advanced electronic controls of the Gen-III engine presented MSD engineers with a formidable challenge, as the control drivers are built into the OE coils. MSD was able to design an advanced circuit that operates with the factory electronics of the Gen-III engine while producing a higher output spark. Not only do you get a higher voltage spark, but the coil will deliver multiple sparks! Yes, that’s right: multiple spark discharge coils!

This version of MSD’s multi-spark coil was designed for GM’s LS2 variant and will provide more spark than the stock components.
